DIMIDIUM TALES: SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT

Note: This publication was previously known as "The Salvagers." All terms and conditions below apply to the renamed publication "Dimidium Tales" and all content within the Dimidium world.

RELATIONSHIP TO SUBSTACK TERMS

These terms supplement Substack's standard Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Publisher Agreement, which also govern your use of this publication. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Substack's platform terms, the latter shall prevail regarding platform functionality.

COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

"Dimidium Tales" and all content within the Dimidium world, including but not limited to characters, locations, magic systems, plot elements, and illustrations, constitute original creative works by Morgan A. Drake. All content is protected under international copyright law. While subscribers receive access to read this content, Morgan A. Drake maintains all rights to publish, distribute, and adapt this work in any medium.

SUBSCRIPTION NATURE & CONTENT ACCESS

By subscribing to "Dimidium Tales," you are:

• Gaining access to episodes of an ongoing serialized fiction work

• Reading the current iteration of a creative work that may be revised before final publication

• Supporting the ongoing creation and development of the Dimidium world

• Not purchasing ownership rights to any content, but rather a limited license to access and read for personal enjoyment

PERMITTED USES

As a subscriber, you may:

• Read all published content for your personal enjoyment

• Share brief quotes (not exceeding 100 words) on social media with proper attribution and links to the original content

• Discuss the story, characters, and world in public forums and social media

• Recommend the publication to others through direct links to dimidiumtales.substack.com

PROHIBITED USES

Subscribers agree not to:

• Redistribute complete episodes or substantial portions of content in any medium

• Create unauthorized derivative works including but not limited to sequels, prequels, or alternative versions

• Use the Dimidium world, characters, or distinctive elements for commercial purposes

• Share access credentials or bypass subscription requirements

• Reproduce, adapt, or translate the content without express written permission

FAN CREATION POLICY

Personal Fan Works: Subscribers may create personal, non-commercial fan works (fan art, fan fiction) based on "Dimidium Tales" under the following conditions:

• Works must be clearly labeled as unofficial fan creations

• Attribution to Morgan A. Drake and "Dimidium Tales" must be included

• Works must be shared only on personal platforms (not for sale or commercial use)

• Fan works must not be represented as official or canonical content

• The author reserves the right to request removal of fan works that misrepresent the property or could cause confusion about official content

Public Sharing: If you wish to publicly share fan works based on "Dimidium Tales," please:

• Include the disclaimer: "Based on 'Dimidium Tales' by Morgan A. Drake. This is an unofficial fan creation."

• Tag or notify the author when possible so they can enjoy your creative response

• Respect that all intellectual property rights remain with the original author

READER FEEDBACK & STORY DEVELOPMENT

"Dimidium Tales" is a living creative work that may be influenced by reader engagement:

• Comments, theories, and feedback are welcomed and appreciated

• The author may consider reader insights during the creative process

• Subscriber feedback may influence future story developments at the author's discretion

• No individual reader is guaranteed direct influence over story direction

• Even if your ideas align with eventual story developments, this does not constitute co-authorship or shared rights

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

The comment sections and community spaces associated with "Dimidium Tales" are intended to foster positive discussion and shared enjoyment. Subscribers agree to:

• Engage respectfully with other readers and the author

• Avoid posting spoilers in comment sections of episodes where the revealed content has not yet appeared

• Refrain from harassment, hate speech, or disruptive behavior

• Respect the creative process and the author's authority over the fictional world

• Support a community focused on shared appreciation of the story

PUBLICATION SCHEDULE & CONTENT AVAILABILITY

• Main story installments are typically published weekly on Fridays

• Worldbuilding companions and supplementary content are typically published on Tuesdays

• The author will make reasonable efforts to maintain this schedule

• Publication dates may occasionally shift due to creative needs or personal circumstances

• Past episodes will remain available to subscribers for the duration of their subscription

• The author reserves the right to make minor edits or corrections to previously published episodes

FUTURE PUBLICATION RIGHTS

The author retains all rights to:

• Publish "Dimidium Tales" in any format including but not limited to print books, e-books, audio, film, or other media

• Revise, edit, or expand the content before publication in other formats

• Enter into agreements with publishers, producers, or other parties regarding this content

• Create or authorize derivative works based on "Dimidium Tales" or the Dimidium world

TERM & TERMINATION

These terms remain in effect for the duration of your subscription. The author reserves the right to:

• Update these terms with notice to subscribers

• Terminate access for subscribers who violate these terms

• Discontinue the serial publication with reasonable notice to subscribers
